* from the ridiculous & hilarious book Health Can Be Fun by Munro Leaf, (c)1943!

"But I wonder if the first things shouldn't be to know people by name, to eat & drink with them, to listen to their stories & tell your own, & to let them know with words, handshakes, & hugs that you do not simply like them, but truly love them...The greatest news of all is that God is with His people, that He is truly present. What greater ministry, then, can be practiced than a ministry that reflects this divine presence?"
(Henri Nouwen, ¡Gracias!)
My name is Megan - or Magi as I'm known here in Mexico!
Each of us is called to seek & serve God; He has asked me to do so among & alongside the people in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico.
I'm part of a church plan in my neighborhood called Iglesia Shalom (formerly Luz en la Obscuridad), where I'm involved in discipleship, children's ministry and community outreach. As a nurse I'm also exploring the possibility of beginning a church-based health ministry.
Beyond this, I try to embody the love of Jesus for my Tijuana neighbors. I also spend a lot of time learning from & with those around me. I believe that my most important ministry is that of convivir - literally, "to live with" - the people of Tijuana.
This blog is a place where you can join with me, and where I can hacer memoria - "make memory" & tell of the kindnesses & faithfulness & grace of our God in my own story...
It will mostly be focused on my life & ministry in Mexico, but also on other pieces of my journey as I seek & serve God.
Thanks for joining me!
If you would like to know more, to receive my updates & letters, to pray for me & for God's work in Tijuana, or to simply encourage... please let me know!

oh how wonderful!
My place in CO is like your kitchen sink. I have been on the internet twice since arriving in this place, but oh how I wish I had been on earlier to see this work of art before now! I am thrilled to hear your poetry, my love.
Oceans are salty, like the sauce that Soy is
You are my love, like the Soy Sauce is
That is a small poem for you, for now. I cannot wait to talk with you again. Guess what, English accent is spreading around campus like a plague, a wonderful plague. It all began with YOU! I tell everyone that - I started it with someone in my room on accident and now there are nearly a dozen people who accidentally got it stuck in their system. Needless to say, I think of you often. And I miss you. And I lovvve you, my love.
Love, Ro!
ps post the rest of the photos, creeper
