¡feliz cumple Liz!

Today I celebrate the birthday of my dear friend and hermana, Elizabeth. Liz was one of my very first friends in Tijuana. I met Liz and her 5 boys during my first summer working at the Asilo. She and her husband, Alberto, volunteered there for quite a while and still live in the neighborhood. Her family has found a place in my heart over the years, and I've stayed with them the last few times that I've been in Tijuana. They have always accepted me as part of the family and we've been through a lot together - including some tears and a whole lot of laughter!
