Because it's Thanksgiving Day this week, I decided to include a reflection in this update that I wrote awhile back entitled "Grateful"...read it here!
An update since the fire, from another missionary in Tijuana: "The 12 girls at Esperanza [the women's drug rehab center where the elderly women are currently staying] are doing an amazing job of feeding, bathing, changing the 50+ elderly women who so suddenly joined them. The wonder of it is the joy and love [the elderly women] are displaying, even though they have had to give up their normal routines, their beds and are now getting lice."

I leave on Monday for a 3 week cross-cultural ministry training in Colorado...then will be back in Minnesota for just 4 weeks before going to Tijuana!
